🍳 1. Banks Grill – Morehead City, NC
Go for: Unique breakfast pairings, THE BEST SHRIMP & GRITS IN EASTERN NC, Country-fried steak, breakfast sandwiches, homemade southern biscuits & jam
A hidden gem with a big local following, Banks Grill is that classic hometown diner with friendly service and seriously satisfying plates, not to mention their Bloody Mary is on point! It’s a quick drive from the beach and perfect before a stroll on the Morehead waterfront. (Sorry I don't have a picture of the Shrimp and Grits, I eat them all before I think about it)

Go for: Dutch potatoes, cinnamon rolls, hot cinnamon butter (yes, really), and amazing pancakes
If you know, you know. Baker’s Kitchen is one of the most popular breakfast spots in New Bern and for good reason. Their coffee is so good & smooth you will find yourself several cups in before you remind yourself it's enough! It’s located right downtown and feels like a warm hug from your favorite aunt.

Go for: NY-style bagels, lox, bacon egg & cheese on everything
When the bagel craving hits, Giovanni’s delivers. Real-deal New York bagels made fresh, with house-made cream cheese spreads and breakfast sandwiches that are worth the hype. Classic to NY style, their shop is small with limited seating but it's perfect for on the go or bring to your table breakfast.

A no-frills, small-town breakfast experience that hits all the right notes. Kountry Kitchen is a favorite for locals and just a short drive from Butterfly Kisses Pavilion. You’ll leave full and happy and they are very Friendly on your pocket!

While they’re famous for BBQ, their breakfast is a well-kept local secret. You’ll find delicious Southern comfort food with a hometown vibe. It’s a great stop whether you’re staying nearby or heading to the Crystal Coast. We love seeing Fat Fellas out at our couple's weddings too!

A true New Bern staple. This cozy spot has that hometown feel with excellent prices and quick service. It's been around for decades and still packed with regulars—that’s when you know it’s legit. Looking for something chill and modern with great coffee? Stable Grounds is your vibe. Amazing service, a welcoming atmosphere, and a solid mix of espresso + breakfast options. This local coffee shop is my must have for wedding day set up! They have the most fun & magical monthly specialty coffees concoctions! Perfect for a mid-morning catch-up with friends on their comfy sofas or their cute mix & match tables!

Go for: Classic breakfasts, eggs benedict, build-your-own platters
Located near the waterfront, Big Rock Cafe has a laid-back local vibe and a killer menu. Breakfast is served all day, and the prices are super reasonable. It’s a great stop after a morning at the pier.

This spot is in the heart of downtown Swansboro. You can park your boat on the public docks and walk here or visit when you come to explore downtown Swansboro.
